For clients who have a long term outlook on the market, this particular option will certainly double in value over the next 5 – 7 years & for those who cannot wait that long, will ensure 50% growth in the next 3 -5 years. I have summarised some key points below and attached a comparison graph that I put together earlier today, demonstrating the value and investment potential.
• Less than 1,000 cases produced annually of which this is the only availability.
• Vintage champagne only released once ready to drink. Coming up to its optimum maturity (2015-2035) , so will hit its peak in the future – potential higher rating!
• 95pts from The Wine Advocate but in tasting notes, identified as a wine that will improve in time.
• 6 mags of Krug Clos Du Mesnil 1985 (93pts) sold for £11,000.00 in auction at the end of March (2014), far exceeding the pre-sale estimate. Champagne continues to do well at auction.

The 2000 Brut Blanc de Blancs Clos du Mesnil is rich, deep, textured and wonderfully complete. The seductiveness of the 2000 vintage comes through beautifully, but the Mesnil has extra dimensions of depth that aren’t found in the Vintage. Smoke, ash, graphite, pastry and lemon are some of the nuances that unfold in this supremely gracious, refined Clos du Mesnil. I expect the 2000 to take some time to reach its peak, but it is superb, even at this early stage.
Anticipated maturity: 2015-2035
