Liv-ex 1000 rises 2.8% in November to another record high

Following yesterday’s news that the Liv-ex 100 had reached its highest levels since September 2011, Liv-ex has revealed that its Liv-ex 1000 Index – the broadest measure of the fine wine market – gained 2.8% in November, pushing it to close on 333.54. This is another record high for the index, which has seen a number of all-time highs in the last 18 months.

The performance of the index’s sub-indices were mostly positive, with the Burgundy 150 up 8.8%, thanks largely to strong demand and rising prices for Armand Rousseau and other top names. The Rest of the World 50 also delivered, rising 2.2% last month. The Champagne 50 was the only index to fall, down just 0.7%.
