Vintage Virtuosity Unveiled

The 2001 Chateau Le Tertre Roteboeuf reveals a vintage marked by a mildew scare, but ultimately salvaged by an Indian summer that ensured optimal ripening conditions. This resulted in a profoundly structured wine that unites a nuanced opulence with precise balance—a signature which François Mitjavile, the winery's visionary artisan, has meticulously crafted.

As we draw upon the bottle, it releases a cornucopia of aromatics; ripe cherries and plums mingle playfully with an undercurrent of truffle and tobacco. Decanting gently unravels layers of complexity, unveiling seductive notes of dark chocolate and a whisper of spice which continue to evolve even as it lingers on the palate.

A Sterling Selection for Savvy Investors

While the 2001 Chateau Le Tertre Roteboeuf remains faithful to the quintessential earthiness and full-bodied richness one anticipates from Saint-Émilion Merlot Dominant wines, its poignant vibrancy meticulously encapsulates the singularity of its harvest year. It has matured admirably, revealing an impressive structure and poise that holds great promise for continued development.

For connoisseurs and investors alike, this vintage represents not merely an acquisition but an embodiment of Bordeaux's legacy—a veritable treasure to be both savoured and esteemed. It is unequivocally a wise choice for diversifying one's investment portfolio with a standout from the exceptional 2001 year at Chateau Le Tertre Roteboeuf. This open, flattering, surprisingly loosely knit 2001 is seamless, seductive, and hedonistic. A dark plum/ruby color is followed by aromas of fudge, mocha, caramel, and sweet black cherries. Although it lacks some structure as well as depth, it is a delicious, nearly flamboyant St.-Emilion to enjoy over the next 7-10 years.
