New high for Mouton Rothschild 1982

By

Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1982 hit a new market high this week, trading for £15,000 per case of 12 – the highest the 100-point wine has ever traded for. Meanwhile, its younger counterpart, the 2011, was the most active wine by value this week. First Growths in general saw activity rise to 25% by value, up from 18% last week.

Elsewhere in the market, Champagne has flourished for the second week in a row, while the USA’s trade share has also increased, stimulated largely by Opus One 2015 which has seen steady gains since its release in September. It last traded on Liv-ex at £2,872 per 12×75, 6.4% above its release price of £2,700.
