The 2004 Opus One from Opus One, Napa Valley, United States

Famous for its proud stature amongst the elite of Californian Bordeaux blends, the 2004 Opus One from Opus One champions the illustrious legacy of California's terroir. A confluence of common grape varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec has borne an exceptional wine with the 2004 vintage being a prodigious standout.

Specially selected Napa fruit meets winemaking finesse

The integrity of the 2004 Opus One stems from the painstaking attention to detail in the vineyards, a practice that extends into its winemaking. The year had a moderate growing season hosting steady hang-times for grapes that translated to intense flavours once in the bottle. This amalgamation of welcoming weather patterns conspired to create grapes of immense concentration and quality.

Benefiting from Opus One's meticulous winemaking process, this wine narrates a story of refined tannins coupled with a profound complexity derived from one of USA's fine wines.

A vintage of unflinching quality – little wonder for investors

The 2004 vintage was indeed unique for its notable early harvest due to warmer weather conditions leading up to it. This unusual start nonetheless bore exceptional fruit that has crafted a delightful equilibrium of softly ripened tannins that accentuate mature dark fruit character with hints of vanilla and silkiness. Alluring spice and tobacco notes seal this vintage’s complexity.

This wine remarkably builds on the estate’s reputation while setting itself apart from past vintages to be thrillingly unique – therefore an enticing prospect for fine wine investors.

A continued ageing potential coupled with elegance that sings with every sip, the 2004 Opus One from Opus One is an enthralling offer for wine enthusiasts and a shrewd addition for those serious about their wine investment portfolio.
