By Delas Freres
2004 Cote Rotie la Landonne from Delas Freres, Rhone
The lineage of divine oenological finesse presents itself through the 2004 Cote Rotie la Landonne hailing from renowned Rhone winemakers, Delas Freres. The 2004 vintage surged above the rest, expressing a refined amalgamation of favorable climatic conditions and gifted viticultural savoir-faire.
A robust offering dedicated to Syrah connoisseurs
In their continued dedication towards honoring regional integrity, Delas Freres crafted this Cote Rotie la Landonne as an unyielding homage to Syrah. This niche varietal's insistence on perfect terroir made the 2004 yield particularly special, evidenced by the harmonious matrimony of voluptuous fruit and balancing acidity within each bottle.
The robe of this Cote Rotie is pure sartorial elegance with its saturated inky hue revealing the extended maceration. Every swirl of this liquid splendor in the glass gently unlocks a complex bouquet of black fruit, reminiscent of dark plums enshrined in a smoky cloak.
Exemplary vintage, promising investment
The 2004 growing season in Rhone was punctuated by assertive summers that yielded evenly ripened bunches of potent expressions. La Landonne vineyard’s precipitous, terraced terrain played peek-a-boo with sunlight, allowing grapes to revel in an illuminating dance, resulting in layers that unfold on the palate like an age-defying literature.
As an investor seeking significant returns and hedonistic pleasure parallelly, the 2004 Cote Rotie la Landonne by Delas Freres could prove an admirable addition to your portfolio given its commitment to quality and the consistent demand for Rhone Syrah vintages.
This outstanding vintage, pulsating with vitality and imbued with a sense of place, straight from the dramatic slopes of Rhone, truly showcases how absolute respect for terroir and patient maturation can culminate into a masterpiece in a bottle. The 2004 Cote Rotie la Landonne from Delas Freres is unquestionably caverna magica, unveiling the magic of wine over time.

Drinking great today and a classic expression of this incredible terroir, Delas's 2004 Cote Rotie la Landonne is almost overflowing with notions of Asian spice, olive, dried earth, hints of bacon fat and ample sweet Syrah fruit. Aged 36 months in 100% new French oak, it's medium to full-bodied, elegant, silky and seamless, with no hard edges and a layered, ready-to-go feel. I'd happily drink bottles anytime over the coming decade.
