Champagne Billecart-Salmon has released a new cuvee exclusively in magnum format to celebrate both its 200th anniversary and the opening of new cellars at its base in Mareuil-sur-Ay.
The Bicentenary Cuvee is a blend of wines from eight Grand Cru sites in Montagne de Reims and Cote des Blancs, with Pinot Noir (92%) at the fore.
Just 1,818 magnums have been produced – marking the house’s founding date of 1818 – each selling for £1,400 per bottle.
