This Lascombes is now drinking very well. A lovely, floral Margaux nose with great delineation and judicious use of new oak that is now completely enmeshed into the bouquet. Perhaps a little light but good purity. The palate is medium-bodied, nice grainy tannins, very good acidity with a citrusy freshness leading to a tart red-berried fruit on the finish. Very fine. Drink now-2015. Tasted May 2008.
Neal Martin - Wine Journal Jul 2008
This is a mainstream, oaky, soft, fruity wine without much depth or length. It is open-knit, with dried herb and black currant fruit in its moderately intense aromatics. The short finish reveals no hard edges. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
