Armand Rousseau Chambertin bolsters drifting Liv-ex 100
The Liv-ex 100 closed March on 310.69, down 0.47% on February. This marks the fourth consecutive month of decline for the index, although each has been small.
The month’s top movers came from Burgundy and Bordeaux. Armand Rousseau Chambertin helped bolster the index with two highly-performing vintages. The 2012 and 2013 were up 22.6% and 11% respectively.
Haut Brion 2000 and Margaux 2000 were also up, rising 2.8% and 2.6% in turn. As Liv-ex notes, both have received impressive critic scores, with Neal Martin describing the 99-point Margaux 2000 as “one of the greatest Bordeaux in this millennial year”.
The biggest fallers were spread across the board, although Beaucastel 2012 dropped the furthest, down 8.3%.
