Solaia 2015 has been released at €155 per bottle ex-negociant, 19.2% above the 2012, 2013 and 2014 vintages, which were all released at €130 per bottle ex-negociant.

The Wine Advocate’s Monica Larner awarded it 100 points and described it as “liquid sunshine not just in name but also in fact.” James Suckling, meanwhile, suggested it might be “the greatest Solaia” ever made, and also gave it a perfect score.

Other recent releases include the 2016 vintage of the Chilean Sena, at €84 per bottle ex-negociant, up 7.7% on the 2015 release price of €78. Suckling praised its “gorgeous texture” and “pure fruit”, awarding it 98 points.

Forts Latour2009 has also been re-released ex-Chateau, at €195 per bottle ex-negociant, an increase of 119.1% from the initial En Primeur release price – it was originally released during the China-led boom in 2010 at €89 per bottle. Robert Parker described the wine as “possibly the best second wine ever made” during a tasting in 2009, awarding it 95 points in 2011.
