Tasted blind at the 2007 Bordeaux horizontal in Southwold. This is a better showing of Grand Puy Lacoste 2007. Here, it has a well-defined, vivacious, pointed bouquet with bright red-berried fruit, redcurrant and cedar. It is a little pinched at first, but it opens nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a ripe, quite plush opening, good acidity, generous fruit for the vintage with a supple, lithe, caressing finish. Fine. Tasted January 2011.
