Bahans Haut Brion 2006
Tasting Notes Bahans Haut Brion 2006
The 2006 Bahans Haut-Brion exhibits classic notes of red currants, earth, and spice in its round, delicious, elegant, forward style. With medium body and velvety tannins, it is already delicious to drink, but it is capable of lasting 10-12 years.
Tasted blind at Southwold ’06 Bordeaux tasting. This has a roti, Rhone-like nose with good definition…but not exactly Pessac. The palate is rustic, hard tannins, rather irony, sharp acidity, touch of soy on the finish. This Bahans comes across as a little disjointed at the moment although bottle age should sort it out. Tasted January 2010.
