Domaine Armand Rousseau's mastery is evident in their preservation of vibrancy amidst concentration. The 2015 Mazis Chambertin presents a compelling dichotomy: Its youthful vitality hints at a thrilling acidity and mineral backbone which promises a future brightly unfurling over time, while its current state offers velvety tannins and an enveloping aromatic depth punctuated by hints of morello cherry and subtle spice.

Possessing both immediate charm and long-term ageing potential, the 2015 vintage is a vinous jewel in the crown of any discerning portfolio. With each swirl in the glass, its alluring perfume uncoils further—it is as if one were leafing delicately through the pages of an ancient tome, revealing the storied past of Burgundy's viticulture.

In sum, the 2015 Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru from Domaine Armand Rousseau is an exquisite expression of both time and place—a vintage where Mother Nature's generosity met one winemaker's legendary craftsmanship to create a wine teeming with elegance and poised for appreciation in both sensory delight and investment value.

Tasted blind, the 2015 Chambertin Grand Cru confirms its status as one of the wines of the vintage—and as the unequivocal highlight of Rousseau's 2015 portfolio. Aromas of sweet red-black fruits, candied peel and cedar mingle with nuances of grilled meats and raw cocoa in a complex bouquet, with a touch of oak vanillin emerging with aeration. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, deep and immensely layered, with succulent acids, supple and fine-grained tannins and an exceptionally long finish. Despite its aromatic and textural drama, it remains controlled and quintessentially elegant.

Armand Rousseau's 2015 Mazy-Chambertin Grand Cru is a comparatively elegant, open-knit rendition of this often rather brooding, primal grand cru, wafting from the glass with notes of wild red and black fruits, candied peel, mint and dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and quite multidimensional, with notably greater seriousness and depth than the Charmes-Chambertin which preceded it. The finish is sapid and persistent.
