Bordeaux 2015 continues to delight critics, with Lisa Perotti-Brown – Wine Advocate’s new reviewer for the region – releasing a raft of high scores for the vintage she’s dubbed “its own, totally unique animal”.

She says the 2015 can be likened more to 1996, 1998, 2003 and 2008, rather than the classic 2000, 2005, 2009 or 2010. Nonetheless, like other critics such as James Suckling and Jane Anson, she awarded a number of perfect scores – to Cheval Blanc, Haut Brion and Petrus – as well as a handful of exceptional 99s and 98s.

As Liv-ex notes, since Perotti-Brown’s scores were published there’s been a flurry of activity around Haut Brion 2015. The end of last week saw it trading for £5,550 per case of 12 – 18% higher than its price the day before.
