Fine wine buyers will have the chance to add top labels to their collections this week, thanks to London auctions from Sotheby’s and Bonhams.

On Wednesday 11 July, Sotheby’s will be offering a range of blue chip fine wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne.

Highlights will include: 1989 and 1990 Haut Brion; 1996 Latour and Mouton Rothschild in large formats; 2000 Latour; 1967 and 1975 Yquem; 1982 Petrus and Chateau Lafleur; 2000 Ausone; and a “near complete vertical” of Mouton spanning 1941 to 1988.

Also on offer is a variety of Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, white Burgundies from Leflaive and a host of Champagne, including Salon, Krug and Dom Perignon. The sale is expected to raise £1m-£1.3m.

The following day, on Thursday 12 July, Bonhams will offer 250 lots of fine wines from a private collection, including all of the First Growths from the 2010 vintage and various half and full cases of fine Burgundy from Rousseau, Georges Roumier and Dujac among others.

Bonhams senior international director of wine, Richard Harvey MW, said: “This outstanding collection has been stored immaculately at The Wine Society and under Bond in Wiltshire; the wines are in first class condition. It has been put together with an eye to the highest quality and includes many of the greatest names from Bordeaux and Burgundy.”
